What does sine die mean?

Modified on Wed, 17 Oct 2018 at 01:49 PM

Sine die is an indefinite suspension from all football. There are various reasons why a sine die suspension may be imposed:

Non-payment of fines

Sine die suspensions for non-payment of fines will be lifted once payment has been made.

Non-Compliance with Safeguarding Requirements

This does NOT automatically mean the individual is subject to a safeguarding suspension.  The most common sine die suspensions for non-compliance with Safeguarding Requirements is where The FA have requested information from the individual which they have not provided.  The suspended individual will need to speak with The FA and provide the requested information in order for the suspension to be lifted.

Serious Misconduct Offences

Sine die suspensions for serious misconduct offences are permanent and cannot be removed.

If you require confirmation on the reason for a sine die suspension, please contact the Football Service team on 01235 544890 or on Support@Berks-BucksFA.com
