There are three levels of FA Charter Standard Awards for clubs:
•FA Charter Standard Club
•FA Charter Standard Development Club
• FA Charter Standard Community Club
Each advanced level requires additional criteria to be met.
To apply, clubs must complete an application form and return it to us at Development@Berks-BucksFA.com with the requested supporting evidence.
For youth clubs (Any club with a team U18 and below) every youth team must have a fully qualified FA Level 1 coach with an in date Emergency Aid and Safeguardig Children qualification. They also require a valid DBS (CRC). As a club you will need to supply minutes of an AGM and Committee meeting (within last 3 months) and Annual Accounts. You also need to ensure that you have a Safeguarding and Equity Policy in place.
Adult clubs Charter Standard – Each senior Team requires an FA qualified first aider, then submit CS application form and completed Adult club planner.
The application will then be assessed by our nominated Charter Standard officer. Feedback will be obtained from the leagues that your club plays in to ensure that your club displays the high levels expected of an FA Charter Standard Club.
If your club meets the criteria, we will forward your application to The FA for awarding. If your club does not meet the criteria, we will provide an action plan and advice.
If you require any further advice or information, please email Development@Berks-Bucksfa.com with the subject "Charter Standard".
