Each disciplinary offence is allocated a points value according to its severity. If a Team reaches 75 points across the course of a season, the Club will be charged under FA Rule E20.
Points are awarded as follows:
Persistently infringing the Laws of the Game
Delays the restart of play
Fails to respect the required distance at a restart
Enters or re-enters the field of play without the referee’s permission
Deliberately leaves the field of play without the referee’s permission
Serious Foul Play
Denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball
Denies an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player's goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick
Use of offensive, insulting or abusive language
Receives a second yellow card in the same match
Any proven Misconduct Charge
*subject to an increase at the discretion of a Disciplinary Commission.
Disciplinary points do not have any relation to League points, and a charge of x disciplinary points does not mean that a team will be deducted that number of League points.
