League Division Placements

Modified on Tue, 15 Aug 2023 at 04:04 PM

Leagues work hard to ensure that Teams are placed in Divisions of comparative quality, however every Division will contain Teams of varying strengths.

The League Constitution and allocation of Teams to Divisions should be agreed by League members either at an AGM or a Special General Meeting called for that purpose.

The County FA is not in a position to influence or change League structures or make decisions based on the varying strengths of different Teams and cannot supersede the wishes of member Clubs.

If you do not agree with your Division allocation you can contest the decision via a League Appeal on the grounds on unconstitutional conduct - ie that the process by which the League constitution was agreed did not follow the correct process as set down in the League Rules. If an Appeal Board rules that a League has acted unconstitutionally they may instruct the League to convene a Special General Meeting to properly debate the Division structure and vote on the Constitution using the correct process.

If you do wish to pursue an Appeal, it must be lodged within 14 days of the written notification of the decision of the League via our online form

Any documentation you wish presented at the appeal should then be emailed separately to Support@Berks-BucksFA.com including copies of any correspondence from the League relating to the decision.
