Player Eligibility - County Cup Fixtures

Youth Competitions


To play in a County Cup fixture, a player must be registered with the Club for any Team participating in a Sanctioned League within that Category of football (e.g. U12 mixed Team, U12 Girls Team etc).


A Player cannot play for more than one Club in the same Cup in the same Playing Season.


For clarity, a Player is permitted to represent two separate Clubs in two different age groups/gender Competitions provided they meet all other eligibility requirements.


Adult Competitions


To play in a County Cup fixture, a player must be registered with the the Club for any Team participating in a Sanctioned League  in that category of football (e.g. Men's Saturday Team, Men's Sunday Team, Women's Team).


A Player may not play in a Competition if they have already played for a Club in a higher Competition in the same season:


Charles Tweltree Saturday Trophy: played for any Club in the Senior Cup, or the FA Cup, FA Vase or FA Trophy after 30th September, in the current season


David Grainge Saturday Junior Trophy: played for any club in the BBFA Senior Cup, BBFA Saturday Trophy, or the FA Cup, FA Vase or FA Trophy after 1st August, in the current season


Women’s Trophy: played for any Club in the Women’s Cup or the Women’s FA Cup after 30th September in the current season

Sunday Trophy: played for any Club in the Senior Cup or Sunday Cup, or the FA Cup, FA Vase or FA Trophy after 30th September, in the current season


A Player cannot play for more than one Club in the same Cup in the same Playing Season.


Disability Competitions


To play in a County Cup fixture, a player must be registered as having a disability at the time of registration as per FA guidelines and be registered with the Club for any Team participating in a sanctioned Disability League 


Players need to have played in one competition match to be eligible for a final.
