Why has the applicant not received an email after starting a DBS check?

If the applicant has been into WGS and acknowledged the application, they will have received an email with a link to the page in online disclosures where they enter their three ID documents. That email may well go into their spam/junk folder, but they will definitely have had the email.

If the applicant has entered their documents in online disclosures and you are the registered verifier for the club, you will get an email with a link to the verification page in online disclosures. Again, this may go into your spam/junk folder.

There are only four possible reasons for the applicant not to have received the email:
  1. The applicant has not 'selected' the application under their 'My DBS' tab in WGS
  2. They have no email attached to their FAN.
  3. They have the wrong email attached to their FAN.
  4. They have more than one FAN.

Please double check that the reason is not number 1. If it isn't, you will need to contact us to find which of the other reasons it is.
