Raising a Safeguarding Concern

Modified on Wed, 6 Sep, 2023 at 4:39 PM

All complaints whereby there is an allegation that the actions of individuals or clubs have damaged the welfare of a child, or put their safeguarding at risk are taken extremely seriously.

If you believe that a child has been seriously harmed, or is at risk of serious harm then please call 999. Otherwise, please report the matter to us.

Any complaint regarding the actions of the club or club members should, in the first instance, be addressed with the club themselves. The club management committee should investigate your complaint and report back to you on their findings and actions.

If you believe that process has not been followed appropriately in the investigation, or that a child has been discriminated against or been placed at risk of harm, then please report the matter to us through the use of this form.

We will review the complaint to see if a breach has been committed and, check to see if the club have investigated correctly.

Clubs are run by members for members and ultimately it is not for us to decide who should or should not be appointed to various roles or overrule Club decisions on these matters to reinstate an individual. Nor can we compel a Club to admit fault or apologise.
